Depending where he is and at what stage his work is in, Author Kwame Alexander tailors how he gets his writing done. Most days, with deadlines and contracts on the docket, he gets up early to write for a few hours, then walks his daughter to school, and then some days heads to a wonderful local cafe where he writes (and talks) for several more hours with his writing group. When he is on the road, he grabs whatever time he can on planes, in airports, and in hotels.
